UMBRIA – INDICAZIONE GEOGRAFICA TIPICA ROSSO
Grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot.
Yield: 90 q.lt/ha
Ageing process: Stainless steel for aprox 4-5 months. Bottle 2 months.
Vineyard: Sixth of vineyard 3 x 1,00. Spur-coned rows. Volcanic soil, sandy with clay banks.
Vinification: De-stalking, fermentation with skin contact at a controlled temperature (25°C) for about 5-6 days. During the fermentation, five or six re-passing of the grape dregs are carried out to improve the extraction of the colour and aroma of the wine.
Bottling: February-March of the year following harvest.
Colour: Ruby-red, bright with purple tones.
Aroma: Pleasant notes of mature red fruit, fresh, tonic.
Taste: Good-bodied, full, dry and persistent.
Alcoholic grade: 12,5% Vol.
Ageing capacity: 2-3 years.
Serving suggestions: Serve at a temperature of 16-19°C in red wine glasses.
